Does our government know what a budget is anymore?

A billion here and a billion there, a million here, and a million there. Yes, this is paper money, but, we are not talking about monopoly! I thought budgeting was "trimming the fat", I thought budgeting was holding off on the spending. I thought to get out of debt I had to save more and borrow less, not spend more and borrow more! I'm a simple man, this is what my family does in a money crunch, but that is not what our current administration is doing. I'm just wondering why so many are so blind to this? These actions are unexceptable within our own families but somehow it is O.K. for the federal government to do this, how absurd! Spending more and borrowing more leads to more debt, plain and simple.
